CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you become a member of Spring Creek Farm, you purchase your share in the upcoming bounty of the season. In exchange for your support, we promise to provide your family with 22 weeks of fresh, nutritious, Certified Organic fruits and vegetables and wholesome, grass-fed and pasture-raised meat and eggs at a discounted rate.
Scroll down to learn more about how it works!
As a Spring Creek Farm CSA member, you’ll receive a Member Card that has been loaded with your share dollars (these cards are distributed at our annual open house & farm tour in May). When the season begins, our on-site Farm Market reopens for pickup three days a week. You can come and shop at your convenience, and spend down your Member Card balance throughout our 22-week season.
In exchange for your financial support of the farm, we promise to stock the market with a diverse selection of delicious & nutritious, certified organic vegetables. In 2023 we plan to have a consistent availability of pasture-raised organic eggs, more delicious 100% grass-fed-grass-finished beef AND *new this year* our very own pasture raised & organically-fed pork and chicken.
Our members also enjoy free access to our beautiful u-pick herb and flower garden and exclusive invitations to fun, family-friendly events on the farm! Free events for members include educational farm tours, outdoor movies, kids events, and outdoor yoga classes. Additionally, we're planning to host two exclusive, chef-curated, farm to table dinners - featuring our very own produce and meats - with tickets available to our CSA members at a discounted rate!
One major benefit of our CSA model is the flexibility - YOU get to decide how your member dollars are spent! Pick up the foods you like - in the quantities you want - when it’s convenient for you.
The second major benefit to membership is our CSA MEMBER DISCOUNT! You’ll receive an additional 15% OFF EVERY PURCHASE, which increases the value of your membership!
We recommend a small share for omnivorous households of two, a medium share for households of four, and a large share for larger households or foodies who absolutely love cooking and eating locally.
Small Share — $500 (member value $575)
Medium Share — $600 (member value $690)
Large Share — $750 (member value $863)
Our 2023 season begins on June 2nd and ends October 31. Market hours are Tuesdays 12-6, Fridays 12-6 and Saturdays 9-2. Tuesday hours are reserved for CSA Members only, so you get the first pick of the week!
You can check the status of your member dollars at any time by scanning the QR code on the back of your card, and if your balance runs out, we can always reload your farm card during the season in increments of $50-$100 so you keep getting the member discount!
Please keep in mind, balances do not carry over from one year to the next. Any unused dollars will expire when the season is over at the end of October. Members must have their card present to shop inside our market. Members must also keep their card safe, as it has cash value and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
If you have ANY additional questions or would like to be added to our email list for weekly winter updates, send an email to our Farm Manager, Hannah, at info@springcreekfarm.com
Thank you for supporting small-scale, sustainable agriculture!
